I am a member of the JMP Realty Team, and owner of Rocky Point Vacations reservation company. I can't say enough about how much I love Puerto Penasco, Mexico.
I've traveled throughout the country to the larger cities and beach resorts of Mexico and always find myself returning home to Rocky Point saying "I should have stayed home and vacationed right here in Rocky Point" nothing beats this place!
I purchased my first beach front property in 2007 and continued to accumulate a few more beach front properties when the time was right. I currently own multiple properties in Sandy Beach on the beautiful Sea of Cortez. This is how I started my reservation company Rocky Point Vacations.
Puerto Peñasco, known to gringos as "Rocky Point", is a beautiful beach town located just over 60 miles from Arizona in Northwest Mexico. It has been affectionately called "Arizona's Beach", as it is the closest beach to cities such as Phoenix and Tucson.
The town is located on the Sea of Cortez, on a small strip of land that joins the Baja Peninsula with the rest of Mexico.
Nowadays, tourism and fishing are the most important economic activities for the city.
Rocky Point has a desert climate, with only about 10 days of rain per year. The average yearly high temperature is about 81 degrees Fahrenheit, with temperatures of 100+ common in summer months.

Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate pets at this time.
Passports are best. You can still cross the border with no issues with an expired passport if it has expired in the last 5 years. If you do not have a passport, a drivers license and a birth certificate will suffice. As a US citizen, you will always be allowed back in your country.
Currently, the Sonoran Sun and Sonoran Sky resorts both have eV charging stations. (Sonoran Sea is coming)
